Hi, I’m Kerry Hamilton – founder of Huia Business Services.

I’m passionate about helping businesses succeed while staying connected to the communities they’re part of. With over 30 years’ experience in accounting and management, I take a practical, hands-on approach with my clients.

My career has included a range of accounting and management roles within the Royal New Zealand Air Force, retail, bookkeeping and accounting firms, and Whānau Āwhina Plunket. Over the past two years, my focus has been on building and growing Huia Business Services - creating a modern, efficient practice that genuinely adds value to the businesses we support.

Along the way, I’ve developed strong experience across accounting, systems, business processes, and client service. I’m particularly passionate about helping business owners get better visibility over their numbers and putting simple, effective systems in place that make day-to-day life easier.

I hold a New Zealand Diploma in Business (Accounting Major) and a Bachelor of Applied Management (Business Information Systems Major), and I’m always looking for ways to keep learning and improving what I offer.
